The Circuit of the Americas, in the hills outside Austin, Texas, was purpose-built for Formula 1 and borrows the best corners in the world: a steep, blind uphill climb to Turn 1, a flowing Esses sequence inspired by Silverstone's Maggotts-Becketts, and a stadium section echoing Hockenheim. Its 5.513 km lap and 20 corners flow over real elevation change.

First raced in 2012, COTA is one of the most complete modern circuits, with long straights for overtaking and high-speed sweeps that reward a well-balanced car. Pole laps run into the 1:32s.
