The Lusail International Circuit, just north of Doha, hosts the Qatar Grand Prix under floodlights. Built for MotoGP in 2004 and adopted by Formula 1 in 2021, it is a fast, flowing 5.419 km lap of long, committed medium- and high-speed corners with very few heavy braking zones, putting huge, sustained loads through the cars and drivers.
Run at night to beat the desert heat, Lusail rewards rhythm and a car that can carry speed through a long string of sweeping corners. Pole laps run into the 1:19s.
