Spa-Francorchamps, threaded through the forests and hills of the Ardennes, is the longest lap in Formula 1 at 7.004 km and, for most drivers, the greatest. From the La Source hairpin the track plunges downhill and flat-out uphill again through Eau Rouge and Raidillon, one of the most famous corner sequences in motorsport, before sweeping through fast, committed corners all the way back.
Big elevation change, long full-throttle sections, and its own micro-climate (it can rain at one end of the lap and stay dry at the other) make Spa a classic. Dry pole laps run around 1:44 under the 2026 rules, the longest single lap of the season.
